Established religions or faiths have much in common but there are also differences. This course gives an overview of some of the worldís most important religions, what they agree upon and how they vary. This class is a cornerstone for later spiritual study.

CON203 Hermetic Philosophy and the Seven Principles of Conscious Creation

In this course, students will learn the 7 Great Principles as put forth by Hermes Trismegistus, who is also known as Thoth and the scribe of the gods, as put forth in the 1912 publication of "The Kybalion." These principles form the basis of all metaphysical philosophy and can be found in all major religions throughout the world. These principles, when applied, offer the serious student the ability to transmute their life through the process of alchemy (turning lead into gold). This course will introduce these principles and open the student to a world of conscious creation.

CON204 Spiritual Law of Attraction

Elective Based upon Abraham Hicks "Law of Attraction," "The Secret," and the work of Jane Roberts in "Seth Speaks," the class is based on the idea that you attract what you think. Everything in the Universe vibrates on a particular frequency. When you think in harmony with the frequency of something, you attract it to you. If you think about wealth, you receive wealth. If you dwell on debt, you will receive more debt. Nothing [good or bad] can come into your experience unless you summon it through persistent thoughts. You are what you visualize; your thoughts determine your destiny. If we are taught to expect the worst, our reality responds to that and we end up getting what we think instead of getting what we really want. This class helps enable students to live their inner-most choices, by setting goals and becoming conscious creators of their own lives.

CON206 Kabbalah: The Enlightened Mind

Understanding Kabbalah is like gaining an awareness of the unseen forces in life. This ancient Jewish tradition reveals the Tree of Life, emanations of the Creative Forces, planes of consciousness, divisions of our being, channels through which the Life Forces flow, as well as the angelic powers, planetary influences, messages in numbers, potency of incantations and talismans. The course includes the deep meditative passages to levels of higher consciousness that classic Kabbalists practiced and by which they received much of their enlightenment.

This course is taught by John Van Auken, a director of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, author of sixteen books, and editor of the newsletters Personal Spirituality, Ancient Mysteries, and Living in the Light. He has appeared on several television and radio programs, including the FOX show Opening the Tomb Live from Egypt, Modern Marvelsí The Pyramids, PBSís Religion Today, Spiritual Alternatives, The History Channelís Digging for the Truth, Discovery, and the SciFi Channelís Quest for Atlantis. CON207 Alchemy: The Science of the Past and of the Future

Alchemy is the science of understanding and working with hyperdimensional forces. Burdened with the cover story of being able to change lead into gold, alchemists were actually able to perform far more wondrous things than just the transmutation of metals. This course will present an easy and delightful view of our reality and will reveal the hidden forces, or hyperdimensional force, that rules our third dimension. The student will learn how these higher dimensional forces inform and create life here on Earth and how this force can be used for health, long life, and the ignition of the Light Body, which is the main secret teaching of alchemy. Once the lead of the human body is transformed into the gold of pure light, the alchemical transmutation will have occurred. As we approach 2012 the human race also has a chance to transform itself into Homo Luminous, or the Human of Light, and create a Golden age for the entire planet. This is the promise of Alchemy as well as the destiny of our race. In this course we will discover the secret of time, multi-dimensional physics and the path to a spiritual tradition that goes back thousands of years before history began.

Jay Weidner is a filmmaker, author, and hermetic scholar. He is the director of the feature documentary, Infinity: The Ultimate Trip, and producer of the documentary films, 2012 The Odyssey, and its sequel Timewave 2013. Jay was featured in the History Channelís documentary, The Lost Book of Nostradamus and was associate producer of the History Channelís special Nostradamus 2012. CON209 Understanding the Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness

In this course, students will learn about the meaning of the Mayan calendar and its connection to the evolution of consciousness. The central structure of the Mayan calendar of nine Underworlds and thirteen Heavens will then be presented and related to the sacred calendar of 260 days, which remains the core of the system as it is presently used by the living Maya. What will be especially emphasized is how the various calendrical energies bring about shifts in consciousness and how these are related to the historical evolution of mankind leading up to October 28, 2011. In addition the use of the calendar as an astrological tool will be taught.

CON211 Soul Mates, Twin Souls and Parallel Lives

Souls do not travel through time alone. In this course the concepts of soul mates, karmic mates, twin souls and parallel lives will be examined. Does everyone have a soul mate? How does one recognize his or her soul mate? What is the difference between a twin soul and a soul mate? What are karmic mates? Can we live parallel lives? Lives of famous couples will be compared to see if any of them meet the criteria of soul mates. If students have not met their soul mates, they will be required to write a letter to their potential soul mate and see if they can manifest them in their lives. How to do candle meditations to meet soul mates will be an exercise. Also, a research paper on soul mates, karmic mates, twin souls or parallel lives are required at the end of the course.

For a fairly long time modern science has presented a view of the universe as fundamentally fragmented, where its different aspects has been studied by different disciplines such as physics, chemistry and biology. This fragmentation differs from the essentially holistic view that the ancient peoples of our planet adhered to which was unified by elements that some would today call mythological or religious. We are however now living in a time where it is again possible to bring the different elements of our understanding in a new and unified view where everything is connected and evolves in purposeful way. This course discusses the wide ranging ramification of the rediscovery of science in 2003 of the Cosmic Tree of Life as a unifying origin of all evolution and helps us understand our purpose in this larger context.

Students must first complete the Basic Astrology class, or must demonstrate their knowledge of basic astrology before taking this class. Students will look into their own natal horoscopes (charts can be cast for free on a number and astrology or tarot websites.) The aspects and signs will be discussed and looked at more deeply than in Basic Astrology. Dynamics of personal relationships will be analyzed where the student compares his or own chart with the chart of another. In this course, more complex horoscopes will be cast and examined. These include the comparison chart between two persons, the synastry chart, and the composite chart. The Composite chart is a tool for analyzing the dynamics of relationships. Composite charts are created by taking two charts and finding the midpoints between each of the elements. (e.g., Sun to Sun, Moon to Moon, etc.). These midpoints are then used to create a new, or Composite, chart. Such relationships will be analyzed and transits or forecasts will be added. The Tarotís Minor Suits and Fourfold symbolism and the Self. When discussing Tarot symbolism, it seems that the Tarotís enigmatic Fool and trumps receive the most attention. Yet the minor cards comprise the larger portion of the deck, these four suits are older than the trumps, and were used alone in the oldest known forms of card divination. The minor suits in traditional decks are composed of from one to ten pips illustrated with only a repetition of the suit symbols, cups, swords, coins, or staffs and then there are four royal cards with a self-evident royal hierarchy. Even when using modern decks, which follow the precedence set by the Waite-Smith deck and include scenes on the pips, it is essential to understand that the origin of these meanings come from only two sets of symbols. First there is the symbolism of the fourfold world attached to the four suit symbols and then there is the symbolism attached to the first ten numbers.

PAR202 Signs of Ghostly Presences

Although most hauntings begin in a subtle way (which are often not even noticed at first) there are very specific clues that tells us when and if spirits are around, and areas or places that may be haunted. These include a number of signs such as the sudden presence of smells that donít belong, objects being moved, turn up missing and then reappearing in unlikely places, pets acting strangely, the sound of voices or music and a number of others. What to do about such occurrences are also controversial but the current consensus is at first you should not do anything since hauntings come in cycles and usually phase out on their own. If they do persist and they seem threatening (which is rare) there are techniques that can be used to lessen or get rid of their affects.

PAR203 Introduction to Ghost Hunting and Spirits

This class looks at the practice of ghost hunting. It will examine theories about what hauntings are and go over the tools and techniques of ghost investigations. Includes spirit photography, EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), temperature gauges, EMFs, (electronic field detectors,) the study of orbs, ectoplasmic fields, the use of psychics, dowsing rods and recorders. Students are expected to find a haunted location and conduct an actual ghost hunt. Photographs of the ghost hunt and a report are required at the end of the class. The way ancient peoples looked upon their fairies is not how we view them from today. In our current age we have a Victorian perspective on fairies which is not accurate. The idea of fairies as nature spirits and elementals is not really supported by ancient lore either. To this day in the British Isles fairies are seen as independent spirits, not exactly human. In fact many British fairies are thought to be similar to a ghosts linked to haunted areas and roads or bridges are not built in places that are considered to be haunted by the fairies. PAR303 Cryptozoology

Class is based on the study of monsters or rather, hidden or unknown animals. The study of Cryptozoology comes in two parts—one is the analysis of extinct, unknown animals where fossils are excavated and examined. The other is the study of animals in myth and legend, ones not yet proven to exist—that is, in compliance to current scientific standards such as the finding of genetic material, remains, or the capture of a live animal. Animals covered in this class are Bigfoot, Skunkape, Mothman, lake monsters, Jersey Devil, Dragons, Chuchucabra, and etc.

PAR304 West Virginia Mothman, Men in Black, and Indrid Cold

This unique and one-of-kind course (you wonít get this anywhere else) examines the phenomenon of humanoid beings appearing as two to three men dressed in black clothing, who show up to question witnesses that have reported UFO sightings or individuals who have somehow made alien contact. First written about by Albert Bender and later, John Keel, Men in Black are not only a recent occurrence but have also appeared throughout time and in different cultures, such as by the Tibetans and also in colonial times. Many researchers believe MIBs to be alien beings while others see them as government agents. They were very much tied to the Mothman sightings in 1966 and also to UFO manifestations along the Ohio River Valley that happened the same year.

Two weeks before the initial Mothman sightings in 1966 West Virginia, a man by the name of Woodrow Derenberger was stopped on his way home from work by a spacecraft which pushed his truck to the side of the road causing him to stop. A man stepped out of the craft who Mr. Derenberger described as looking like ìAny ordinary man you would see on the streetî and introduced himself as ìIndrid Cold.î Hence, the strange tale of Indrid Cold, the Mothman and the Men in Black unfold. Students will learn the details of this strange tale, listen to the actual voice of Woodrow Derenberger describe his encounter and then be able to research this strange tale by using various sources. At the end of the course, students are to turn in a research paper in which they give reasons as to whether they believe the Indrid Cold story is real or the story of the alien encounter to have been a hoax.

PAR305 Investigating Hauntings

Students will learn ways to locate haunted areas and to investigate them by first an interview with the owners, or residents. A series of questions must be answered before determining whether the area is either haunted or merits an investigation. An overview of the way hauntings tend to manifest will be taught to the students, as well as what to look out for. This can be foul odors, problems with mechanical or electrical units in the home, cold spots, the seeing of full-bodied apparitions, unusual features pictures, (pictures of orbs alone are not enough to merit an investigation—photographing orbs is very common), hearing disembodied voices or music and etc.

PAR306 Introduction to Paranormal Research

Paranormal simply means ìbeyond the normal,î or ideas that have not been accepted or proven by the accepted standards of science. In parapsychology, the subject of paranormal includes phenomena that includes psychic ability, (or what used to be called ìESPî or extrasensory perception) ghosts and hauntings, the study of UFOs and their related subjects of aliens and extraterrestrials, astral projection, mediumship and other anomalies. In this course an overview will be given as to what is paranormal, what the subject matter really means and what may not be paranormal but is generally accepted as such. Research in to the paranormal needs an objective approach and an open view. Often science is involved, where equipment and other standards of scientific research are required to properly research in the paranormal in a hands on way. Students will be given proven techniques and other methods in researching paranormal subject matter.

PAR307 Mental Illness and the Paranormal

Paul Eno writes, ìAs a graduate student of abnormal psychology decades ago, I would sometimes observe and work with schizophrenics and others with serious psychoses. Also a student of the paranormal, I began to ask questions nobody else seemed to be asking. At Ogdensburg State Hospital in New York or Norwich State Hospital in Connecticut, I would often catch such knowing looks in the eyes of these patients! On a few occasions, their conditions would be accompanied by apparent paranormal activity witnessed by hospital staff.î In this course, Paul Eno examines the relationship between paranormal activity and mental illness, how to tell one from the other, and what to do when the two are intertwined. There will be a complete treatment of ìdemonic possessionî from the clinical standpoint, and of the possibilities for multiple, simultaneous lives.

PAR308 UFOs, Angels and Ghosts: Are they Connected

Over the years paranormal researchers have noticed the similarities and the connections between experiences among those who have claimed to have had contact with angels, UFOs band ghosts. Are these occurrences simply a manifestation of energies from other dimensions? Or, are each a category of their own and meant to be studied separately? PAR401 Ghost Photography

The arrival of the camera and its photographic image in the 1830s marked the arrival of a new way of looking at the afterlife, ghosts and spirits, and that was the religious movement called ìSpiritualism.î Thus, these two ways of viewing life have traveled along parallel lives ever sense. Spiritualism popularized ghost photography during the Civil War when so many human lives were lost. Although most early ghost photography was fraudulent it has evolved into the science that it is today. In this course students will analyze ghost photographs from the past, what commonly is considered to ghosts on the recorded image of today and what is often mistaken for the presence of ghost when it really isnít.

PAR402 EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), ITC (Video Instrumental Trans-Communication) and Advanced Ghost Hunting Equipment

Some of the most fascinating areas of ghost hunting and the scientific proof for the survival of death are provided by what is called EVP or Electronic Voice phenomenon and Video Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC). According to a 1920s newspaper article, Thomas Edison commented that he believed a device that could record the voices of the dead was possible, and some device may actually become a reality one day. It is believed that Edison actually had plans to make such a device, but this has been proven. However, this has come about in the new science of EVPs, in other words, voices of spirits are now being documented and explored In this class students will learn how to collect or record EVPs, recognize ambient sounds and how they differ from ones imprinted by spirits and others. Ghost tours are becoming increasingly popular not just in the United States but in other countries as well. Every town or city have their own stories of ghosts and the paranormal, plenty of material to create a popular and financially successful ghost tour. Students enrolled in this class will learn how to research their local ghost tales and regional folklore by using various sources. During the class students will create a script to use in the beginning of their ghost tours. Questions like if ghost tour creators use local cemeteries and what is the legality of this, as well as getting permission to tell stories about older homes which may be haunted also come into play. At the end of this class each student will have created his or her own ghost tour.

In this course, students will learn the various forms of ancient Egyptian magic and ritual—the basis of their early religious rites, the meanings behind the Egyptian ìBook of the Dead,î Hathor novenas, dreams and prophecies, various aspects of Gods and Goddesses (their powers and how they relate to Egyptian magic) the use of amulets, magic for the dead, what ushabti are and more. PAR503 Spirit Releasment, Exorcism, and House Clearing

Although most spirits are not negative in nature, at times malefic attachments may become a part of the paranormal occurrences that enter a home or area. Once a haunting gets into full swing other energies may be drawn to the area. It is not clearly understood why this occurs, but negativistic energies do need to be cleared in order to bring the home or area back into its natural balance. Students will be required to conduct their own Advanced UFO field investigations and exploration. Students will be using space craft vectoring protocols and encouraged to begin facilitating and reporting on their own peaceful communications with benevolent Extraterrestrials through sky watching, remote viewing, meditation and telepathic communication techniques.
